The YETI Basketball Academy (YBA) is a pre-AAU basketball academy designed to prepare athletes for AAU club basketball. YBA teams are formed by age group and available to players in grades 3-6. YBA sessions run 12 consecutive weeks during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons. Teams practice twice a week for 60-minutes per practice and every YBA season ends with entrance in a local AAU tournament which typically includes 2+ games on a weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). YBA differs from camps and clinics because YBA players are trained as a team with a dedicated coach. Substantial time is dedicated both to individual skill development AND team-based systems of play. There is no tryout for YBA however players should expect to learn a ton and be committed to their development. Attendance at training sessions is expected as regular attendance is essential to player and team development.
